Gift Cards? I just read that Sharper Image and other retailers are not honoring Gift cards because they are in financial trouble and some are even in Chapter 11 BK. The story is" That is typical of businesses that reorganize under Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which treats gift cards as a loan to the company, not as cash." Was'nt cash used to buy these gift cards????? If so, how can they deem it a loan or credit when they (Sharper Image)were already paid for the gift cards.

What gift cards can you use to pay your bills with? Heres my problem. For most holidays i get gift cards, thats great but i would love to find a gift card that i could use to pay my bills. So heres my question, if someone gets me a Simon (visa) gift card can i use the amount on that card to pay say my Chase bill? Why do people pay more than face value for Visa gift cards? I've sold Visa gift cards on eBay and it boggles my mind that people pay more than face value for the gift cards. Right now, there is a $200 card selling for $300+! :confused: My question is, why would you pay so much more for such a card?
