Question about IRS Direct Deposit onto Prepaid Visa Card? So, I filed my return through H and R Block on January 27th 2010 and opted for E-file/Direct deposit into my Cash Solutions prepaid Visa issued by Metabank/Moneytree. I received an e-mail confirmation from H and R Block that the IRS accepted my return. After I was able to check the status at the irs.gov under wheres my refund, It stated that my direct deposit was scheduled for February 5th 2010. At around 5 pm, MST I received another e-mail notification from H and R Block that the Irs had deposited the funds into my account, also when I re-checked the irs website it said that the direct deposit had been made. My account however is not showing any funds on the card. So my question... When can I expect the funds to actually be available? Wyndham hotel group had a promotion called best rate guaranteed or it's free. The promotion has ended but before it did I found some lower rates and got 2 free hotel rooms which are for tomorrow and the 4th of July. One is under my name, the other is under a friends. They require a valid credit card to hold the room which I used mine for both reservations. One reservation is under my friends name and I've found out he doesn't have a debit card to present at check in. Granted the rooms are free, but I feel they may still ask for a CC for incidentals. Does the CC have to have his name on it? Could I use my credit card to pay for incidentals even though the reservation is under his name? The room is an ocean front suite in ocean city md 500 a night so I know there going to try and get out of it on the day the free room is under his name. The thing is I have plenty money, so I could easily use my credit card i they allow it, or I can get a prepaid visa card with like 500 on it... or I can pay cash for indicentals... what can i do if safeway charged my credit card AND took my cash? i am trying to figure out if there isa anything i can do about this. i went to safeway, i put $100 on my prepaid visa, and bought a few groceries. the total was $27.99. i only had $25 so i said to take the rest off my visa card. so he couldnt figure out how to do it, people were getting mad and leaving the line, i even told him i would not get something so it was under the $25 cash i had and he acted like he coudnt understand me.. so he finally did because someone told him how. so i gave him $25 and swiped my card. so now i see on my balance that not only did he take my last $25, he also charged it all to my visa! someone please tell me they can give me my moneyt back. i am so pissed ! i used my last $100 to put it on there to buy all my digital pics and now i cant! this sucks! what do i tell them? do i ask for my money back at all of am i just shit out of luck because they hired an idiot that cant understand english and doesnt belong working a cash register? thanks! i know i shoul dhave the reciept and believe me i save all of them! but i actually went thru my receipt drawer the day before seeing my balance online and i actually threw it out! cant thry still give my money back? this totally sucks, i wouldnt have went and spent the money to put it ON the visa just to go thru the store and use it!

So how does this work...I put money on the card...when I spend it all, I put more money on it? Problems with a prepaid debit card? I bought a prepaid debit visa card at a local cashing place. I was told that you would pay $10 to purchase the card and pay only $2 every time that you wanted to reload the card. Only to find out that they placed a monthly maintenance fee of $9.95. I paid $25 on the card last week to pay for an online gaming site. Also, I purchased an item on Ebay and paid for the item through paypal. I checked to make sure the money had posted to the account then I paid for the gaming site and also paid for Ebay through paypal. I checked my balance after the purchases and I had money remaining on the card. The next day I called customer service because I was having problems with signing onto their site. I checked 2 days later and found out that the issuing bank charged the card a maintenance fee and also that it cost over $5 in charges to speak to a representative. I believe this is a consumer fraud. My paypal was paid for but not the other purchase. Has anyone had any problems like this? The card was a Silver Card from Rent-a-Center

Visa Debit Card, is it a good idea? Hi, i just got a new job. They Pay electronically. The choice was direct deposit or visa paycard. I guess you get one free transaction if you need cash once a month from an ATM. They charge you after that. This is new to me, the rest of the jobs i had gave me checks. I don't have a checking account and i am in college. I was wondering if anyone has used a Debit Visa prepaid card and if it is a good choice to have at my age. I've always heard of paypal account... ive seen thoes paypal visa cards before ... is that what i get if i apply for one?? so when someone buys my ebay item they use there paypal to pay me.. then I get money for what i sold to my paypal account??? finanally i use my paypal visa card everywhere... so paypal is like... prepaid visa card????? only spend money i have in there???

S.S. Number? I kind of understand in a way about the whole home land security thing. But honestly if I wanted to do somehing not right. I wouldnt be stupid enough to buy a perpaid card with my info on it like name, where I live, etc.. I would use cash money and an un traceable phone. I have a pre paid phone and didnt have to give out my S.S.N. I mean for real how is a prepaid visa going to cause trouble, and for the little amount thats on it, I mean come on now. That's it, there in the frame and protective glass and all, and I keep it out of the sun like you see here." The three of them noted the shade over the one item, giving it further protection from the light. "Sir Isaac made his grand speech, both houses passed whatever bill, and Thomas Hanscomb stuffed this copy into his things. It come down to me after all this time." Nora nodded, seeming to have reached some decision. "And it's certainly dear enough," she held up a hand to stop him, "but fairly, given its history. Across the pond, a representative's first speech in Congress is considered a great event." She considered her bank balance, held a mental argument with herself, and pulled out her billfold. "I take traveler's cheques, VISA, and cash," he smiled. Nora smiled in return, pulling out a small plastic card. She felt a polite tug at her sleeve: Rose. " For a purchase this significant, I usually like to get my mind well settled before I sign the papers, just to be sure. Shall we have a cuppa, and you talk to me about this?" There was a note in Rose's voice; Nora had learned to respect that tone over her ten days with the family. She turned to the stall-keeper. "Would a fiver hold it for an hour?" "M'lady, at this price, a scone would hold it for the day." Nora grinned. "A scone, it is. With jam?" He nodded. They had a deal. They chose their table and allowed Harold to seat them with their food. He trundled back to the stalls with the extra scone, leaving his wife and guest to discuss the matter. are there any cards out there that are reloadable from paypal or do you have to get a bank issued card? i attached a visa prepaid card to my paypal and have $0.69 left on it. it is from gift2go.net. i wish i could reload the funds from paypal to it. i have like $34, anything i could buy or i should just keep the cash i want to be independent edit - i dont have a bank account and i know my parents wont drive me there to get one. and you need a ss number and stuff and they probably dont want to give me that info. with the prepaid visa i raised my sending limits and confirmed my address, but to get that debit card u need a bank account too =/ what about the other paypal plus card? forget that though
