Gift Card Resources

How can I find the perfect Christmas gift for someone?

Not being a gift-person myself, I'm not always great at choosing gifts unless I ask the person what they want. But that takes away all the fun. Does anyone know a website that helps you find the perfect gift for someone, using different categories to narrow it down or something? I used to know one but haven't been able to find it. Thanks for not helping, everyone. Gifts are stupid in the first place. The SPIRIT of Christmas is about Jesus, a gift is just a nice thing for someone and some of us aren't as talented as YOU guys at choosing gifts. K? Yeah I just wanted some help, I think I just want some IDEAS to get started, then I could pick a gift on my own... whatever! Thanks anyways.

  1. give them a gift card that works everywhere that takes credit
  2. really you cant find the perfect anything unless you know that person very very well.
  3. I try to get ideas from people -- either friends or relatives. I find that asking really helps. If they say they don't know what they want, look around their homes -- that might give you an idea.
  4. Thats a pretty uncool approach... sorry, no pun intended. I mean there should be enough "spirit of christmas" left to just care a lil about that person, the persons likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies, fav. music and what not. If you care enough for that person there should be not too much of a problem to find that perfect christmas gift. It will also represent part of your personality, because you put some of your thought in it - so dont ruin that by having other people telling you what to get for a friend :)
  5. take them shopping (not for xmas though.) figure out which stores they go in most, and what items they comment on. Calculate a cost and get them a gift card there. Ex: i love the bookstore--i spend so much $$$$$ there..so all my friends are gettin me giftcards. I love christmas lol good luck hope i helped.
  6. Gee. I read your additional details, & I'm sorry if some people were nasty. I saw some answers that I felt were thoughtful, & helpful. You're absolutely right about not asking the person! I just go along during the year "picking up" on things my friends say they'd like here & there, get what they'd like, & save it for Christmas. It's the only way that "I" know how to get the "perfect" gift. I'm sorry if that doesn't help, & hope someone will--further along. Good luck!
