My boyfriend has a 78 Datsun 280z. He is a car fanatic. Can anyone suggest any gift ideas (personal or meaningful) to give him? Thank you!

I don't know about personal or meaningful, but WD-40 is always helpful. Don't get the knockoff kind, and get a big can. Simple Green is also good stuff to have around.
Something Datsun would probably be cool.Go on E-Bay and look up Datsun stuff.
Have his car detailed by a pro....may cost a few bills, but car guys love this stuff
Get him a california water blade around 20 dollars he already has a car duster. Girot's Garrage.Com for those of higher means like a orbital polisher kit. Or Special hang on the wall vacuum and long hose. Every girl loves a guy with a long hose.
car detailing is one option, if he is into modiffying maybe look at an aftermarket exhaust, some new lights, tints or maybe a spoiler
If you can't afford to buy him a 1958 corvette then get him a subsciption to his favorite car magazine(s) and find a really cool calender with pictures of the type of cars he likes on it.

First off, dont buy in any parts for his car. He will want to pick them out, not you to buy them for him. Detailing/car wash stuff/tools are all good ideas. Personally, i would buy him an instructed track weekend or day. Porsche club, BMWCCA, SCCA, and most local racetracks have different instructed days out there. He will use his car, and itll prob cost about 250 bucks, but itll be the most fun hes ever had probably.
Check out the "Adult Novelty" stores online, and see if you can find your guy a 12 volt "vacu suck". I think he might enjoy one of those.
