Were these Appropriate Thank you cards to Interviewer?

I wanted to know what everyone thinks about the thank you cards I sent to two interviewers. They were American Greeting cards and they had Spring Flowers on them, and written was "Thank you." I wanted to send two distinct cards, but I messed up on those and also thought I wrote way too much. I basically wrote "Dear Ms..., Thank you for meeting with me to discuss the position available with yadda yadda yadda. I think my administrative experience working at blank for several years has given me the necessary jugement and independent thinking necessary in this position. I also believe I have the compassion to work in the Department of Yadda Yadda Yadda because I believe I would be an excellent representative. I look forward talking to you soon. Sincerely, My Name *** Also, they were hand written...Is that ok? I changed the wording on them so they weren't completey exact. I hope I didn't make myself look naive. Please let me know what you think.

  1. I interviewed recently and was offered about 4 jobs until I found the one I accepted... I didn't kiss a*s*s for it either.. I think thank you cards are stupid!!!
  2. I think that sounds great! You will definitely stand out in the interviewers minds! I didn't think they were wordy at all. Don't worry about Barbee Doll, she's just jealous that you were respectful and will probably get a better job!
  3. Perfect! And GOOD LUCK. I am looking too. I may use this. :-)
  4. If I received a letter like that after an interview, I would be very impressed with your graciousness and manners.
