How do I know a friend received my ecard birthday greeting?

I sent an birthday e-card yesterday to a friend off of Yahoo. Greetings but how do I know my friend received it if I didn't receive a confirmation from Yahoo Greetings. Also, i deleted the ecard I sent, how do I retrieve it?

1. Most of the time they send you an email from Yahoo saying the person received/opened your greeting. As for the deleted, was simple until yahoo changed everything to just look in the trash folder but not sure if it still works the same or not. You can try clicking your trash box and if it is not there, there isn't much else you can do about it. Person you sent card to, might send a Thank you as yahoo offers that after you read the card.
2. If you use lavacards.com ( http://www.lavacards.com ) then you can views whether your friend received the ecard or not.
