what is a good 50th birthday card greeting?

3. "Happy Birthday!" Not to be snippy here - just that the person might be having a hard time with 50 (whether they say so or not) and it would be refreshing not to get the black balloons and such. Go for a tasteful celebration.
4. Happy birthday you old git! seriously it makes them smile - I did it for my stepdads 40th and he cracked up....It is also very hard to make him laugh

7. Depends on the person...some people might be very sensitive about turning 50 so unless you know for sure the person can take a joke card about their age I would stick to just a nice birthday greeting card that doesn't talk about how old they are.

11. My mum got my dad one that said "Oh whit a scunner, tae be hauf a hunner" Translated from Scots, that means "Oh what a nuisance, to be half a hundred". Brilliant!
