how can I transfer money from prepaid gift card to debit card?

Would like to know how I can transfer money from American express prepaid gift card to my visa debit card?

1. I really don't think that you can transfer money from one gift card to another.
2. In general, it can't be done. The gift card is probably intended to be used at a specific retailer, and they won't be happy if you try to spend the money elsewhere.
3. If you could, that would defeat the point of a gift card. They make an insane amount of money from unused cards expiring every year. Roundabout way - sell it to a friend who uses that store more than you, or go to that store and sell it for a little less than it's worth to a customer.
