what is 178.98 plus 6% tax?

i live in maryland and i think sales tax is 6 percent so the total of my friends wii and extra remote was 178.98 with gift card discount but wats tax with it so whats the total

2. Multiply the price by the tax rate expressed as a decimal. 178.98 x .06 = <tax> Then add that to 178.98. OR 178.98 x 1.06 = <price with tax> You do the math now. Edit: Don't know who gave this a thumbs down rating. Must be a 'Math Moron' on the loose since this is 6th grade math.
3. around 189.7188 so 189.72 most likely
4. if you have a calculator ,,,,punch in 178.98 x 6 % ,then add the two ,,,,,,there will be your answer
