Using two american express gift cards?

I have two american express gift cards, one with about $45 and the other with $50. Unfortunately, the thing i'm trying to buy is 53 bucks. I'm wondering if there is anyway to use both of them together online. It can't be bought in stores. Thanks.

1. I would call the phone number on the back of the card and ask customer service if there was some way to transfer the balance of one card to the other. That way you will have enough money on the one card to use it for the entire purchase. I am not sure if they will do it, but I figure if you nag them enough they will do what it takes to satisfy you.
2. Yes, you should be able to combine these two cards for that purchase with a balance remaining. Just check with the company you are purchasing from .
