1. most online vendors do accept these gift cards. you wouldn't be able to use it as an atm card or as a credit card to pay for any recurring bills such as cell phone bills. but, otherwise, it should work fine. be careful though of some charges. for instance, you may be charged a fee for purchasing an american express gift card. the fee varies depending on who you purchase it from. if you lose the gift card, american express will charge you about $5.95 for the replacement card & if you don't use the card for over a year, then you will be charged $2.00 monthly.
