How can I get cash for my gift cards?

I have all these gift cards from past years. Many of them I will NEVER EVER use! I remember reading about a website where you could exchange your gift cards for cash, or for a different card. Does anyone know of the site? Has anyone used a site like that and have stories? Thanks!

1. I have never heard of such a site, but if you really have that many, save them and give them out as gifts next time someone has a bday.
2. If they are from past years, they are probably no good. Most gift cards expire anywhere from ninety days to 1 year after purchase, depending on the company. No gift card has a cash value.
3. You could try privately selling them for a little less than the value on them, the previous poster had a good point, check to make sure they haven't expired yet.
4. How long ago did you get them? Some companies have started putting a fee every month the card is not used after a year. As for the site, I've never heard of such a thing. And the shame is, most stores have policy that you can't get cash for a gift card. Good luck.

You could also try selling the cards on Craigslist. You should check that the value hasn't decreased, as some gift cards will lose value over time. I received one that deducted $2 a year from the value of the card for every year it wasn't used.
