Can I use a Visa Prepaid Gift card for membership on Club Penguin?

I bought a prepaid visa gift card at cvs and i wanna use it to buy membership on club penguin. it's not a credit card; i don't have one of those. but whenever i type it in it asks for the name on the card and the name part on the card says "my gift card" & it always declines it. help?
