Questions about American Express Gift Cards?

I'm trying to buy a CD online, so i bought an American Express gift card. Questions are: 1) Do these cards work for shopping online? 2) Do I have to activate the card or anything with Pay Pal? or when I make a purchase (online) do I just put in the gift card number and I'm ready to go?

2. 1. Yes, the Amex gift cards works online anywhere Amex credit cards are accepted. However, before you use it, make sure you register the card with Amex (add your name and billing address to the card), otherwise, it may be rejected online. 2. Using your Amex card on paypal is not always certain. If paypal requires that you go through their verification process, then you will not be able to use the card on paypal. If the don't require the verification, then you are all set.
