Can you use American Express Gift Cards to buy stuff online?

And say you have 2 Amex gift cards, is it possible to transfer the amount from one to the other so that way you only have a single card? Like if i have 2 Amex cards, and 1 of them had $25 on it, and the other had $50 could I add the $25 from the first card to the second card with $50 on it, so I would only have 1 card with $75 on it?

1. Yes but please be careful I got a great card but went crazy, now I owe alot of money and I don't even wear my mink ear-muffs
2. Yes, you can use them anywhere the merchant displays the AMEX logo. Just enter the information like any other credit card. For address use your home address. You can not transfer balances. So you are limited in what you can spend unless you can split the purchase into 2 parts..
