- Website is gone.. but they say you can go to the stores during their liquidation and they will honor gift cards if the store is still open. List of stores closing... http://files.shareholder.com/downloads/CC/530895174x0x264592/26243352-FB3D-4712-9C35-263BFCA04C76/Store_List_Liquidation_011609.pdf
- YOU MAY NOT LIKE THE PRICES,BUT IF YOU DONOT SPEND THEM RIGHT NOW,YOU COULD ALWAYS FRAME THEM. SORRY,BUT WHAT DID YOU EXPECT. IF THEY EVER HAD GOOD PRICES,THEY PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.
- circuity city is no longer online since they are going out of business. I would go to the store as soon as possible and spend them are else you will loose all that money.
- Circuit City recently ordered liquidation of the entire chain after unsuccessfully trying to find a buyer for the bankrupt company. If you wish to redeem them for merchandise contact them at the nearest store for details. The only links I can readily find go to the page about the closing or legal details for investors and debtors. I managed to find only a few links on either Yahoo! or Google that addressed the current situation and that is what the seem to indicate. You need to do so while the liquidations are still in progress at the stores. There is NO retail site on the internet now. A liquidator is in charge each store. I would assume that they will honor the cards but in reality under US laws they don't have to. It's up to the business or liquidators. The closings involve the 567-store Circuit City chain. Other properties in Canada, elsewhere have different operating situations and are not currently involved in this action (i.e. "The Source by Circuit City" in Canada). hhgregg stores will redeem the cards for a fractional value toward purchases http://www.hhgregg.com/dynamic.asp?SID=n&did=1015 I can find little or less than nothing other than that. All I can otherwise offer you in advice is to pay attention to the companies whose cards you wish to give or use. They are becoming a contentious problem, whether from huge corporations or little pizza shops.
