My best friend's baby shower is this Saturday and she's having a baby boy.. What is the perfect gift?

Public Comments

  1. Diaper Cake!
  2. to offer to come over 3 hours a day for the first 2-3 weeks!! Trust me any mom would love to have extra help around at any time of day!
  3. i always get practical gifts buy a basket and fill it with wipes diapers powder all the stuff that you know she'll need and use
  4. There's no such thing as a perfect gift in general...everyone has their own idea of what would be perfect for them based on their needs. Does she have a registry? Cuz that will help to pick something out. One thing I find thoughtful is a big basket or diaper bag or something filled with all the smaller things mom's might forget...diaper creams, thermometer, pacifiers...whatever you can think of to fill a basket.
  5. Rocking chair $100 Boppy nursing pillow $40 stretch mark lotion $20 Foot spa $20 Baby Book $15 Baby Bouncer $40
  6. I forget what its called but one of those baby sleepers that force the baby to one side its kindalike a soft pillow with sides on them so the baby will not choke while sleeping. Those are a big hit~!~
  7. gift cards- diapers can be bought in the size needed
  8. A cleaner once a week for 4 weeks after baby is born A nappy service for 4 weeks if using fabric nappies after baby is born A BIG pile of nappies (now) if they will be using disposables. It really is the practical things that are the most useful and most welcome. You can only have so many bibs, grow suits, cute toys etc, but someone helping out around the house ( even if you pay for someone to come in and do it for them) - just making some meals or home baking after baby is born - is priceless.
  9. here's what my best friends got for me: diapers, a couple cute outfits (for both new born and up to 9 months since youre going to get soooo many small things anyway), a couple little toys, a sling carrier, a bumbo sitter, a bouncy seat.. if you wanna get one big thing you can get her a swing or if shes breastfeeding a breast pump may be handy. Then theres always things that shes going to need lots of/never have enough of... receiving blankets, burp clothes, dreft or other baby detergents. I also found that having a really good reference book on babys like the american academy of pediatrics book is a good thing to have around when you are curious about something. i loved the baskets of goodies that i got, they were some of my favorite gifts
  10. whatever she REGISTERED FOR!!!!!!
  11. Anything off her registry, Diapers, Wipes, Baby toys, Baby blankets, clothes, onesies, socks, baby sunscreen, multi use disposable pads (from target), q tips, baby spoons, bibs
  12. Buy something off the registry. Everything on there is something she feels she needs. As her best friend you can get a big ticket item. It would probably be much appreciated.
  13. The gift I got that I thought was absolutely perfect and a lifesaver is the medela pump in style. It took some time for baby to latch on so I pumped until then. It was a BIG pain relief! It's a little expensive though. If you're on a budget, I would make her a basket of goodies and things like socks, pacifiers, teethers, diapers, wipes, baby spoons, etc. or you can do a theme for example if she's breastfeeding make her a basket with nipple cream, nursing pads, bottles, nipples etc. Hope this helps
  14. If you need an original gift try photoartomation.com They convert ordinary photo into beautiful art and print them on canvas. My friend sent them an ordinary photo and they convert photo to ART. They do a really good job. The painting is absolutely beautiful! It’s really special gift.
  15. something for the mum after shes had the baby.. no one really thinks about mums. so be nice for her to get something.. like massage treatment or hair done or even something she can do in the house..xx
