What do you do with old greeting cards?

Like birthday cards and other holiday cards? I feel bad throwing them away but they just pile up and we never do anything with them. Is it bad to throw them away? (This kinda sounds like a Seinfeld episode...)

1. start making friends with people who share the same name as you... then tell them the names that you signed it as are your alias'
2. collect them
3. Since my parents and most of my family live overseas, I keep the ones from family in shoe boxes under the bed, I can't bring myself to throw them away.
4. Perhaps a local elementary school can use them it their art classes? I have heard of people donating old greeting cards like this before :}
5. its never bad to throw some things away, haa. what i usually do is keep them for a few months. after i get them, i keep the ones from like my parents, grandparents, siblings and best friend. then i pitch the rest. You could even use them as scrapbooking add-ons. (:
