Can you use gift cards to pay for gift cards?

I have a $500 gift card from Walmart. I don't need to buy anything. Figured I'll just buy 5 $100 walmart gift cards and give it as gifts. Do stores allow you to use gift cards to buy gift cards? Christy, do you know what a gift card is?

2. ya! I did that at starbucks, either way they are getting the money cuz somebody already payed them 500 dollars, stores love doing that becuz they make the money annyway
