I wanr to make my own greeting cards and sell them. how do i do it?

im planning to get a drawing class. and it ocurred to me that it'd be cool to design my own greeting cards and sell them in stores. i know its going to start small, what should be my first step? what are some things i should keep in mind? any tips you want to share? and how does the whole selling market work?

How will you "start small"...where would you advertise cards for sale? Have you ever bought cards anywhere else but from a big store? Is there a market for boutique greeting cards? How many would you need to print? (I think you should start really thinking because the details are non-existent for you right now.)
