Can I get an Amazon gift card using an American Express Gift Card?

I recently got two American Express gift cards and wanted to use them on Amazon. The problem is that for the payment type I couldn't use TWO credit cards; however, I could have used several Amazon Gift Certificates. So, I got the idea to buy two Amazon Gift Certificates with my AmEx gift cards. Is that possible?
