Can you buy items online with prepaid Visa Gift cards?

Can you buy things online with them. I know you can use them anywhere but can you use them instead of credit or debit cards?

1. Yes im 15 and i bought this with the $50 visa gift card - Airsoft pistol - Airsoft bbs - Underwear - A phone - jeans all on e bay for $25 and it all came all of it SIGN UP FOR A FREE PAYPAL ACCOUNT
2. def. it's actually more convenient to use the visa gift cards online. it's a pain to use them in actual stores. since i'm only 15 & my mum doesn't allow me to use her credit card, i purchase the visa cards at ralphs & buy stuff online all the time =)) it's really easy to useeee. haha.
