Does Amtrak take American express gift cards?

I wanna order a ticket online but im only 16...i dont have a credit card. So...can i just use an american express gift card?

1. They should. If you have any trouble, call them at 1-800-USA-RAIL. Just make sure that you're not running away from home--Amtrak keeps an eye out for teens who try to do so. If this is for a legitimate trip, have fun!
