Is a birthday card with a $25 Gift Card enough?

I took this guy i've been dating for 2 months out to dinner this weekend. For some reason I felt it wasn't enough so I bought him a gift card for $25 american express so he can go any where to use it and a birthday card. I mailed it to his house do you think he would like it?
