What do I do with Christmas picture greeting cards?

Should I be saving the Christmas picture greeting cards that people give during the holidays? Is it appropriate to keep them or can I just throw them away?

  1. You can cut them up (shape them) with scissors to create your own gift tags for the next Christmas presents you will buy. That's what I do.
  2. I keep a lot of them in a special box to look at from time to time. But I know a lot of people make christmas Ornaments out of them by cutting them into special shapes and punching small holes all the way around the design. Then they take yarn and sew the sides together to complete the ornament. Some people make card garland to put across the mantal or down the banisters. So many ideas , so little time. But you can throw them into the recycle bin to. Nobody really expects you to keep them.
  3. I have mine in a picture album! It is fun to see how families/kids grow over time. Make sure you date them if they are not dated. Also make sure you write the people's names down - in the future your great grand kids might wonder who these people were! You can also use the picture the next year. Get it enlarged and make a puzzle out of it and sent the card/puzzle back to whoever sent it to you in the first place. You can make ornaments out of the pictures. Use it in scrap-booking. Have fun!
