Can I use gift cards online?

when ordering merchandise online i often use my visa gift card. I have 3 dollars on one.. and 4 on another and my purchuse comes up to a little over 6$. Is it possibly to use both cards for one purchase when ordering online>?

1. Well, it might depend on the website. However, I would have to say yes in general. Once you pay with one card, it should give you a leftover balance, which you could pay off with the other card.
