Can Walmart gift cards be used at the Walmart pharmacy?

I want to give a giftcard to a freind that could be used for groceries or medication.

1. I'm pretty sure they can. It doesn't say there's anything you can't buy with them.
2. Yes. You should be able to use the gift card for store-wide purchases.
