  1. you could put it that way. (like, say it was a $20 gift card, and you wanted $30 jeans...you get $20 off) its more like a debit card, but for one store. it has a budget on it, and you can only use the money at the particular store it is from. (ex. American eagle giftcards: only american eagle
  2. no its just a card with money on it and you use it to buy clothes without using a credit card or cash but it depends how much is on the card and the store where u got it from
  3. a gift card is like a credit card. you can use it instead of money :D like go to the store and they will be like 15 dollars (and lets say your card was worth 15 dollars) you would give them your card. It is instead of using money, not a discount but a pay for the whole thing type thing :) hope i helped
  4. it is a card that has a amount of money in it and when they buy clothes they use that and get that much money off so yeah it is like a girt card
  5. Whatever amount of money she put in the card you can then use to spend at that specific store. So it's basically money, but you have to use it at that store. If it's worth 20 dollars, and you spend 23 dollars, give them the card and three dollars of your own money. That's how it works.
  6. A gift card is a card that has a certain amount of money on it. You can go to the store that is on the gift card and spend that amount of money there. You don't get a discount unless the store is having a sale on the item you are buying. ~Meg~
  7. its money on a card for a specfic shop if you got 50$ from Wal_Mart then it is like having 50 dollars you can only spend at that store hope this helps
  8. its a card that has money in it.... i put it this way....a ten dollar one that you can only spend in that store.
  9. You know what a debit card is? It is the same thing, but for a store. Say you go to American Eagle, you get about 25 $ work of stuff, and you have a 25$ gift card, you use it and dont pay... If you get 60$ worth of stuff, and you have a 50$ gift card, then you will end up paying 10$ with either cash or a credit card... honey-- a gift card is like cash exepts its "squeezed" into a card... Get it? Good Luck!!
  10. SORRY, i just laughed sooooooo hard i could barely breath or type. I cant believe you don't know what gift cards are OMG!!! OK gift cards are for gifts, that means you give them to people for a birthday, christmas, ECT. all they are is money, except you use them at the store or restraunt that they are for. SAY YOU HAVE A 200 $ gift card to abercrombie, and you spent 200 dollars, u just give them the card and you don't have to pay-easy. say you have a 200$ gift card and you only spent 150$ - you have ten dollars to use nextime. say you once again had a 200$ gift card and you spent 210$ then you have to pay ten $ extra out of your own cash- it's money squeezed into a little plastic thing...... and thats it ( i still can't believe that you didn't know what they are , I mean HELLOOOOO!!! ITS NOT ROCKET SIENCE!) HOPE I HELPED:) GOOD LUCK
  11. A gift card means for example if your aunt gave you a gift card to wal-mart for $30.00 that means she gave you $30.00 you can just use it at that certain store. Its free you don't have to use any of your own money.
  12. It's where value(money) is put on it.
  13. it's just like credit card u buy stuff off of it
  14. a gift card is a card that a person will pay say 25 dollars and then there will be 25 dollars on the card. so when u go to buy something then give them the card (if it is 2 that store) and they will take the 25 dollars of ur purchase or they will take as much of as they can up to the total.it depends on your total amount.ur lucky i want a gift card.
  15. gift cards r like money to buy stuff 4rm a store
  16. They're trying to confuse you, it's not like a credit card, you will not have to pay back whatever you buy, it's already been paid for by your Aunt when she bought the card. It is just like free money, but you can only spend it at the store the card is from.
  17. Think of it as a "gift certificate" to a certain store. You can buy anything from the name of that store on the gift card up the dollar amount. If you received one of those Visa/MasterCard gift cards, then you can use it ANYWHERE that accepts credit cards up to the dollar amount .
  18. A gift card is just like the gift certificates of long ago. They can be used just like cash at the store where they were bought but they are worthless at any other store. I work in the gift card business. Make sure you use it within a year or the store will start deducting value from it.
  19. No silly its where you go into a store and pick something you like and BUY it with the money on the card that your aunt put on there its kind of like a credit card except this one probobaly has a limit of $10-$200 dollars
