is the eb games edge gift card a bad deal?
I sold 6 old gamecube games to eb and they said the edge card would give me a discount on used games but when i looked at the receipt it looked like they took off money but they never told me that it cost extra and it expired that day. was that a bad deal or do they always take off money from the total when you sell them used games???

- i dont understand the question
- The card should be good for at least 30 days. If not until used. As for the money thing, they don't buy games for what it's worth, they need to buy low sell high to make a profit. When you get the Edge Card, about $10, you get 10% more on selling games and you get a 10% discount when you buy a game. You also get a year subscription to Game Informer. The card is good for a year and you can also get stickers that you can give to friends or family that will allow them to get the discount.
- Whenever you sell a game, you will never get the price of the full game (used or new). They want to make a profit. It is like that at any store, not just EB Games.
- Look again... the Edge card expires a year from that day. I think it costs $10... but it gives you 10% more for your trade ins, and 10% discounts on used games. It's a good deal if you frequently trade in games and buy used games.
- The Edge "gift card" isn't a gift card. It's a subscription card that gives you discounts and a subscription to their magazine, like Steve said. If you buy a lot of used games its worth it, but if not then they got you man. Steve has the pefect way to put it though, he deserves the best answer.
