can u buy stuff from the internet using prepaid gift cards?

I wanna buy stuff from the internet but my dad doesn't want any extra bills in his name. So he gave me a $50 gift card. My name isn't written on it, instead it says "A gift for you". I know that your credit/debit card information is required when you buy from the internet, that includes your full name. So what do i do? Can i still buy stuff from the internet or not? Help me please.

2. yes you can they have money on it. They will ask for the card number usually located on the back and you have to verify it and then you put in your mailing information and batabing your done=]
3. If you have a gift card from store that also has e-commerce site then they will have a separate box just for gift cards and promotions
4. If it a Visa or Mastercard gift card, you should be able too. You may need to register or activate it online. Check the card website for more detail. Do not forget to include the shipping and taxes when shopping online
5. yes and no -- if it is a visa or master card yes -- if it is a gift card like with sears forget it!!!!
