How much in gift cards as presents for preschool teachers would be ok?
My son is "graduating" to Kindergarten, he has been in preschool for 2 years and has 2 teachers who have been doing a great job (my son is quite difficult to manage), and also my daughter is a current student and will be with them next year. I'd like to give a present to each, maybe a Gift Cards, but I don't know how much money would be reasonable to put in them. Thank you for your serious opinion.

- Well as teachers go they usually spend a lot of their own money to enrich the educational experience so I would suggest $25.00 each. It is likely the teacher spent way more on your kids because they love the job and want what is best for the student (take it from an aspiring teacher)
- I'LL GO WITH $25
- I say anwhere from 10-30 dollars in more then enough...because they are going to expect at least that next year.
- $25
- As a former preschool teacher, I'd have to agree with the $10-$30 bracket.
- The economy isn't in the best condition, $25.00 each would be too much, it's just a token of appreciation - give $15.00 each! They will get additional gifts from other families and also Teacher's Appreciation was just last month.
- I would go with $25. I once gave a teacher a gift certificate for $10...and she gave me one for $20 (I had volunteered a lot in her classroom). Very embarrassing!
- I think you also need to take into consideration how nice of daycare of it. Ahem... are you paying out alot for a really nice daycare or it is more budget friendly? $25 is generous either way, but $10 may look cheap at a nicer center.
- i am a preschool teacher, and i am glad you are going with gift certificates. it is our most appreciated gift. (although i love hanging plants also). i would say anywhere between $15.00 and $25.00 is very nice.
